As the third millennium of the Common Era begins, many people are speculating about the changes that the next decade, century, or millennium will bring. Some attempt to predict the future of religion in general, and Christianity in particular This includes members of the World Network of Religious Futurists (WNRF). This group facilitates its members' interaction "with scholars and activists from around the world who study the future of their religious tradition in view of world civilization." They maintain a "Future of Religion Research Page," hold annual conferences, and issue an annual Earl Award for "outstanding service in advancing the contribution of world religions to the future of humanity." 2
